But being somewhat handy, I thought "hey, it's cheap enough, I'll check the valve clearances, cam chain, etc. and if I still can't fix it I know I can get back what I paid for it" So I have a 1996 Trophy 900 that has a serious clanking noise coming from the engine. WebAug 14, 2024 · The Trophy definitely sits up higher than your RGlide so the leg swing will be tougher. The Trophy is also very top-heavy but once used to it no problem. You may need to do the poor-mans's riser mod (about $15 and works well) and possibly change the pegs to give you some leg room. I'm giving you some nit-pick issues. Otherwise, the bike is great.
